Notch Space 1.1.4: Notch on Every Display

Notch Space 1.1.4 puts the island on every display you choose, opens Clipboard, Shelf, or Music when you copy, drop, or play, and adds custom clipboard categories, text from images, and lyrics.

Notch Space 1.1.4 is out. The headline is simple: you can put the island on the displays you actually use — Auto, every screen, or any mix — and the notch opens the right feature when you copy, drop a file, or start playing music.

Download the free trial from the download page. Existing installs pick it up through Sparkle.

Notch on the displays you pick

External monitors used to mean a dead top edge. 1.1.4 lets you show the notch on:

  • Auto — follow the display you’re working on
  • Every screen
  • Any mix of displays

Drag, Settings, and expand stay on the island you are using. You can pin the notch open, and moving the cursor along the top edge no longer closes it.

On Macs without a hardware notch, this is still a floating island — now with the same per-display controls.

It opens the right feature

Copy something and Clipboard comes up. Drop a file and Shelf is ready. Start playing a track and Music is there. Less hunting through the expanded island for the panel you already needed.

Clipboard: categories and text from images

Clipboard history still lives on your Mac. 1.1.4 adds:

  • Custom categories with optional keyword auto-match
  • Copy text from images
  • A short Copied flash on the collapsed notch
  • History that scales with the island

If you already use Notch Space as a Paste alternative, categories and image text are the parts that stick in daily work.

Music: disc art and lyrics

Playback in the island can show disc-style artwork (or keep square covers) and synced lyrics beside the controls. Spotify, Apple Music, and browser / YouTube now-playing are all in play. Open-in-source-app still works.

Also in this build

  • Temp shelf thumbnails fill the cards; folder and app drags are easier to read
  • System stats sit in the center of the expanded notch
  • Break Away stays inside the collapsed HUD
  • Hardware notch no longer clips shelf cards

Intel Macs (from 1.1.3)

1.1.4 is still a universal build. Apple Silicon and Intel both run it. Apple Intelligence features still need Apple Silicon.

Try it

Grab 1.1.4 from the download page, or read the full notes on GitHub. Lifetime license is one price; this update is included.
